Overcoming the Commission Objection
Who else is at the point in their recruiting career that they actually look forward to getting asked about commission?!?! WE ARE! But, we also realize that not everyone feels the same way. Here are a few different options when you are talking about commission.
Before we go on, we will say that being incredibly confident in the fact that commission/the NM compensation is absolutely one of the BEST ways to build a thriving career is the number one factor in getting your candidate to feel the same.
Option 1:
“Commission is a large component of how you are compensated here at NM but is only one of 9 different ways. There is commission, bonuses, benefits, investment revenue, etc and while there is no traditional base salary, we find that people are pleased with how quickly and how much revenue they can earn both in the short and long term.”
Option 2:
“As a business owner at NM, you get a lot of the benefits of being in a traditional corporate environment with upside of the entrepreneur life. There is little to no up front capital, there are full benefits, and you earn income relative to your work. Commission can be one of the best ways to earn what you are worth vs. what someone tells you you are.”
Option 3:
“The Advisors are compensated on a predictable commission structure. Because we have been around for 164 years, we have been diligently researching what it takes to get your business off to the fastest start possible and if you follow that path— your income becomes extremely predictable.”
Remember- confidence is KEY. If you believe it, they will too.
