MICROSTEP MONTH

The statistics are not in favor of the New Years Resolution sticking around too long! “A study from the University of Scranton found that 92% of people fail to keep their New Year’s resolutions. Another found that 80% will have already failed by the second week of February.” But it isn’t necessarily that the resolution is bad or unattainable, sometimes it’s just too big of a goal right off the bat. “We know what happens when we start off too big. Too many people try to change their lives through sheer willpower, simply deciding to make major changes and then feeling guilty when, inevitably, their daily habits don’t all follow along with the new directive from the top.” So our team at CMC will be implementing the Microstep Month and we hope you will join us. The idea behind it is to start with small goals that are easily attainable and will, in turn, translate into more habit change. “Microsteps are about making changes that are too small to fail.” These microsteps can be the smallest and most seemingly insignificant things but we think you will be shocked at how it affects other habits and behaviors.
Below are all of the things our team has committed to for the month of January. Use one of our ideas or decide one of your own! If you would like to read the article that inspired us to this challenge you may do so at this link Microstep Month.

Here are a few of our team’s microsteps we have committed to. Good luck on your microstep journey this month and we hope it leads to many successes throughout this new year!
