Little Known Bullhorn Tips

As many of you know, Claire is the Bullhorn subject matter expert for NM. You also know she nerds out big time on tips and tricks to make the system work better for you. Here are a few of her favorite little tricks in Bullhorn not everyone knows.

Email Reminders of Important Tasks:

When you are adding a task for yourself, have Bullhorn send you an email reminder!

A perfect example of this is when you have a referral who is not interested now but told you it was ok to call back in a few months. If you are not the best at using your call or tasks list, you may miss it.

  • Add a task by clicking the ‘Select an Action’ dropdown >> ‘Add Task’ >> Add Task like you normally would AND set the ‘Reminder’ as 5 mins (this is defaulted to no reminder)

Look at the CP+ Score

If you want to see or filter your CP+ scores (yes! the number score as well), you can add a column for that!

  • If you are in the Candidate List >> Click Columns up at the top to add columns >> Type CP >> Pick CP score (or CP rating)

What we love is that once you have this filter on, it makes it really really easy to follow-up with candidates from the past who scored a ‘yellow’ or a ‘red’—- if it has been 6 months, they can take it again and score better.

Mass Updating

There are a few reasons you would mass update candidates in Bullhorn but the most common are that a new recruiter started and you need to move candidates from the prior recruiter to the new one. The other is changing the requisition a candidate is tied to (even more common is an intern or former intern candidate who was assigned to an intern requisition but is now going through the full-time process.

  • To mass change ownership: Go to the Candidate List >> Filter to the person you would like to transfer from >> Click the check box on the top left of the Candidate List to select all of the candidates >> Click ‘Select an Action’ >> Pick ‘Change Ownership’

  • To mass change a requisition: Go to the Candidate List >> Find the candidate or candidates by filtering by name or the ‘Most Recent Requisition’ column>> Click the check box on the top left of the Candidate List to select all of the candidates OR simply pick the candidate you would like to change >> Click ‘Select an Action’ >> Pick ‘Add Candidate in Process’ >> Type the new requisition in ‘Add Candidate in Process’ >> Save

Enjoy!
