Layoffs & Company Changes Announced Recently!
We have been hearing about quite a few layoff alerts recently as well as some organizational changes impacting other companies. Reach out and offer to be a resource (even if they are not the right fit for this, introduce them to COIs).
Some of the companies who have experiences layoffs recently:
How to approach them
Option #1
“Hi [Name], I am sorry to hear about the changes within {company}. I am not sure if you have been affected but if you have been (or are thinking about a new role anyway), I would love to be a resource.”
Option #2
“Hi [Name], I am seeing the layoff alerts for [company] and can’t help but reach out. The career at our firm is certainly different from what you are doing but we specialize in helping career changers transition into entrepreneurs. There are so many beneifits to this career but one that incredibly relevant right now is that there would never again be a fear of being laid off. You would be your own boss!”
Be relevant and empathetic.
