Follow-up with Past Candidates Who Made it to 2nds, 3rds, and Offers!

In our experience, when a candidate drops out of the process at any stage and for any reason, recruiters tend to forget about them. The reality is, these candidates can be great in a year or two and if not, they can be great COIs.

If they made it to a 2nd, 3rd, or offer it means multiple people on the team liked them. Maybe it’s time to follow up?

Find past candidates in Bullhorn:

Menu >> Bullhorn Reports >> Appointment Outcome Report >> Select a time frame (We suggest starting in 2018 or 2019) >> Select your office >> Note: Do not add yourself as the recruiter- leave that blank in order to capture past team members candidates >> Generate Report

Language for Outreach:

“I’m reaching out today to follow-up on a career you explored a few years ago with Northwestern Mutual. We know things have a way of changing (especially the last year or so) and wanted to see if you were interested in continuing a conversation. If not, I’d love to at least connect professional and see if you know anyone in the community that may be interested in learning more. “

Additional Tip: If the candidate was a referral, engage the nominator!
